An adjustable fence comprising two posts, each having a post body 11 and a first mounting slot (12, Fig. 4), at least a first posts having a second mounting slot (13, Fig. 5), the slots extending longitudinally in the posts, the fence having a slat assembly 20 comprising multiple slats 21, the ends of which are slidably and detachably received in the first mounting slots of adjacent posts, an illumination module 40 having a case 41 mounted to the top of the first post, the module having a solar panel 42, a charge controller and rechargeable battery (43, 44 Fig. 12), and an illumination piece 45 embedded in the second mounting slot. The illumination piece may have a body with wings (451, 452, Fig. 5) engaged with mounting pits 1121 of the second mounting slot. Each post may have an expanding slot 16 closed by a side strip (14, Fig 5). There may be a bottom bracket 22 having buffers (50, Fig. 3) to absorb thermal expansion. The slats and brackets may have position members (211, 212, Fig. 9) for engaging adjacent slats/brackets. A limit 30 may press against the top of the slat assembly. |
