摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by reducing the number of parts and improve durability of a sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In a steering device of small-sized electric vehicle 50, a revolving amount of an accelerator lever 33 is detected as the accelerator opening degree by an accelerator opening sensor 38, a travelling velocity of the vehicle is controlled based on an accelerator opening signal from the sensor, a gripping amount of the accelerator lever 33 to an operation handle side 32 is detected by a gripping detection sensor 51, and the vehicle is controlled so as to reduce its speed or stop based on the detection signal from the sensor. In this case, the accelerator opening sensor 38 is a noncontact type magnetic field detection sensor having a hall sensor portion 45 installed on the accelerator lever 33 and detecting a variation in density of magnetic flux in a magnetic field formed by a magnet 46 installed on a moving plate 36.
