A production method for a composite sheet that is for an absorbent article and that includes an elastic sheet and a low-stretchability sheet that has lower stretchability than the elastic sheet. The method includes: preparing a low-stretchability sheet that is formed by mutually aligning in a prescribed direction a first section that is extended in the prescribed direction and a second section that is not extended as far as the first section; and fixing the elastic sheet to the low-stretchability sheet via a plurality of joined parts while the elastic sheet is stretched in an elastic direction, the elastic direction being arranged in the prescribed direction. With regard to the fixing, the plurality of joined parts are provided so as to be discontinuously distributed in both the elastic direction and a direction that intersects the elastic direction, and are provided such that at least one of each of a prescribed-direction central position of the first section and a prescribed-direction central position of the second section is included in an un-joined part that is positioned between joined parts that, from among the plurality of joined parts, are adjacent in the elastic direction. |
