Disclosed is a method for predicting a viewing rate of a program including the steps of: collecting postings including opinion of views corresponding to multiple episodes of the program; calculating an emotion index based on words included in the collected postings; constructing learning data based on the calculated emotion index and information of a previous viewing rate and generating an artificial neural network model; and calculating a final predicted viewing rate value by inputting test data, constructed based on the calculated emotion index, in the artificial neural network model.
