PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly suction unit of a vacuum cleaner preventing an engagement part with an extension wand from getting obstructive when being connected to the extension wand, easily reaching to the inner part of a cleaning object surface under furniture with short legs, and preventing a load from being applied to a user's wrist.SOLUTION: The suction unit of a vacuum cleaner includes: a suction unit body; a suction port provided at a lower surface side of the suction unit body for sucking dust on a cleaning object surface; a suction chamber communicated to the suction port; a pipe joint rotationally connected to the suction unit body; and an air trunk communicating the suction chamber to the pipe joint. The pipe joint is rotationally connected to the suction unit body at a rotational shaft part provided at the pipe joint, and is so disposed that the height of the rotational axis center of the rotational shaft part from the lower face of the suction unit body is higher than the uppermost surface of the suction chamber. |
