PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a client apparatus to grasp easily whether an imaging apparatus is under initialization.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus capable of communicating with an external apparatus through a network includes a changing unit for changing an imaging position of imaging means that images a subject. The imaging apparatus generates a response including a first field, in which an operational state of the changing unit is described, in response to a request received from the external apparatus, and transmits the generated response to the external apparatus. The imaging apparatus, when the changing unit is under initialization, generates a response identifying that the changing unit is under initialization by combining descriptions of a plurality of fields containing the first field. |
