A controller 81 causes image forming parts 30K, 30C, 30M and 30Y to generate, at a prescribed timing, patterns Pt for toner position detection and patterns Pc for curling tendency detection, and a curl detection part 70 reads the patterns. The controller 81 detects the curl state of the intermediate transfer belt 21 on the basis of the pattern interval of the patterns Pc for curling tendency detection, which is read by the curl detection part 70, selects a pattern Pt for toner position detection used for image adjustment according to the curl state, and adjusts an image according to the selected pattern Pt for toner position detection. |
