The present specification relates to an insulation resistance measuring device using logical operation and a method thereof and, more specifically, relates to an insulation resistance measuring device using logical operation and a method thereof which can prevent battery discharge if switches are turned on at the same time when insulation resistance is measured by alternately turning on and off the switches. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the insulation resistance measuring device using logical operation comprises: at least one measuring elements connected to a battery in series; first and second switches to connect or disconnect a line between at least one measuring element and the battery in accordance with first and second signals; a third switch of which one side is connected between at least one measuring element and the other side is connected to a chassis ground of a vehicle; a fourth switch of which one side is connected between at least one measuring element and the other side is connected to the third switch and the ground; a voltage measuring circuit to measure element voltage by being connected to the measuring elements at both ends; a control unit to output third and fourth signals for controlling the third and fourth switches and to estimate the insulation resistance by using the measured element voltage; and a logical operating unit to logically calculate the received third and fourth signals by using at least one logical gate when the third and fourth signals which are the same signal are received from the control unit, and then to output a control signal for disconnecting the first and second switches. |
