PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of switching the display function quickly by simple operation, in one video display device having the display function of a television receiver and the display function for advertisement, for example.SOLUTION: A video display device includes a display section 1, a memory card slot 4 for reading data from a rewritable recording medium, a display control section 7a having the display function of a television receiver, and the display function for advertisement, and a switching section 7b. The switching section 7b switches the display function to be executed by the display control section 7a, based on a designation code for designating the switching to the display function of a television receiver or the display function for advertisement, that can be read from a memory card. |
