PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document conveying device that can detect whether or not a cover is half closed.SOLUTION: A document conveying device includes an open/close detection sensor, a document detection sensor that outputs a value indicating the presence of a document when a cover is half closed, and a control part that detects open/close of the cover and detects the presence or absence of a document in a document conveyance path. When the output value of the open/close detection sensor is changed to a value indicating a closed state of the cover from a value indicating an open state, if the output value of the document detection sensor is the value indicating the presence of a document, the control part detects that the cover is half closed. |
