PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning agent allowing a cleaning roller to exhibit stable cleaning performance, which cleaning roller has an outer circumferential surface formed with an elastomer containing an organofluorine compound for adsorbing a foreign substance having stuck to a surface of a material to be cleaned and removes the adsorbed foreign substance by rotating while contacting the surface of the material to be cleaned thereby generating static electricity between the cleaning roller and the material to be cleaned.SOLUTION: The cleaning agent for cleaning a cleaning roller 11 contains a hydrocarbon-based chemical compound, and contains at least one of petroleum naphtha and normal hexane as the hydrocarbon-based chemical compound.
