PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thawing apparatus capable of thawing a frozen object in a short time, with the quality maintained.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: an accommodation chamber 10 to accommodate an object to be thawed; a pair of electrodes 13a and 13b disposed across the object; an electrode control device 14 which controls the application of the voltage between the electrodes 13a and 13b for thawing the object; a sensor 11a which measures the temperature of the object; and a temperature control device 11 which performs an initial control for controlling the temperature in the accommodation chamber 10 at a specified temperature higher than the target temperature for thawing the object at the start of thawing, and performs a first temperature control for controlling the temperature in the accommodation chamber 10 at a specified temperature lower than the control temperature in the initial control after the temperature change obtained from the value measured by a sensor 11a reaches a predetermined first condition and until the value measured by the sensor 11a reaches a second condition which is set corresponding to the target temperature for thawing the object. |
