PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drip-proof or a waterproof structure of a simpler circuit configuration in comparison with the prior example, with a non-contact structure to a belt.SOLUTION: In a radio communication device, which performs radio communication using an antenna, for supporting a radio communication device by putting in the belt of a user with a belt clip, includes: an extension inductor connected in series with the antenna and connected to a radio transceiver circuit; switching means connected in parallel with the extension inductor; an infrared light-emitting device; and an infrared light-receiving device. The radio communication device further includes: detection means for detecting the presence or absence of the belt, by reflecting an infrared ray, emitted from the infrared light-emitting device, on the belt clip, when the belt is not put in the belt clip, to receive light by the infrared light-receiving device, whereas when the belt is put in the belt clip, not to receive the infrared ray, emitted from the infrared light-emitting device, by the infrared light-receiving device; and control means for switching on the switching means on detecting the presence of the belt. |
