PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program which facilitate extraction of a drawing area from a captured image of an original.SOLUTION: A captured image acquisition unit acquires a captured image of a subject outputted from an imaging unit 404. A standard image output unit 412 outputs a standard image based on light luminance distribution at a predetermined distance from a light-emitting unit 403 for emitting light to irradiate the imaging direction of the imaging unit. A correction processing unit 411 uses the standard image to correct the captured image acquired while the light is emitted from the light-emitting unit, by the captured image acquisition unit.
