PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide generator solving problems in which instruments attracting and capturing blood-sucking insects such as mosquitos with carbon dioxide as a main attractant generate carbon dioxide by sublimation of dry ice, combustion of combustible gas or the like, but the dry ice is hard to be stored and the combustible gas has a disadvantage such as involving risk of fire or the like when used, furthermore, the generation of carbon dioxide finishes after a chemical reaction finishes in a method for generating carbon dioxide through the chemical reaction of a carbonate and an acid and the carbon dioxide cannot be generated for a long time.SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide can be generated for a long time through a chemical reaction by continually adding an acidic aqueous solution to the carbonate in small quantities as shown in Fig. 1. The invention can be diverted to various uses. |
