PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device control mechanism with high practicability and with future potential.SOLUTION: A device control system comprises: a camera for photographing a predetermined real space; and an information processor for processing an image photographed by the camera. The information processor includes: device area control means for controlling an area of a device on the image photographed by the camera; irradiation point detection means for detecting an irradiation point indicated by a laser pointer from the image photographed by the camera; operation detection means for detecting a predetermined operation from behavior of the irradiation point in the area of the device; and device control means for appropriately controlling the device in accordance with the detected operation.
