PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift range switching operation which is comfortable for all drivers.SOLUTION: A shift control device used for a vehicle equipped with a shift operation device having a plurality of shift positions corresponding to respective shift ranges of the vehicle, a path connecting the plurality of shift positions to one another, and a momentary type movable part operated by a driver to move in the path includes means (S130-S260) of correcting a recognition time Tj determined for a shift position as a movement destination for each shift position based upon a holding operation time T for which the movable part is held at the shift position as the movement destination in addition to means (S110, S120, and S125) of determining whether the holding operation time after the movable part is moved to the shift positions as one of the shift positions is equal to or longer than a recognition time determined for the shift position as the movement destination, and recognizes the shift position at the movement destination as a selected shift position that the driver selects, and means (S290) of switching a shift range according to the shift position recognized as the selected shift position. |
