PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of cracks in a battery case while maintaining battery performance.SOLUTION: A lead-acid battery includes an electrode plate group 40 and a battery case 20 for housing the electrode plate group 40. The outer wall of the batty case 20 includes: a first wall part 31 that defines a housing region of the electrode plate group 40 in the batty case; and a bent part V for forming a wall part 35 disposed to be apart from the electrode plate group 40 far more than the first wall part 31. The thickness of the bent part V is increased within such a range that the inner surface of the bent part is positioned outside the inner surface of the first wall part 31, and thereby the bent part V is formed in a thick part thicker than the first wall part 31. |
