The invention relates to a method for forming a catalytic platinum-based coating on electrodes for use in electrochemical devices such as fuel cells and electrolyzers. According to the invention, in order to produce a platinum-based catalyst, a carrier is first purified using ion etching; then, a catalytic coating is applied to the purified surface by means of magnetron sputtering from at least one platinum-based target in a vacuum in plasma of a primary gas having a reactive gas additive; the sputtering is carried out with a power density on the magnetron sputtering target in a range of (0.004-0.17)*105 W/m2 with a ratio of concentrations of the primary gas and reactive gas of 75-99%. Technical result: the increased specific catalytic activity of a catalytic electrode coating used in electrochemical devices (fuel cells and electrolyzers). |
