PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a polyvinyl alcohol resin-made pellet which enables pelletization of the water-soluble resins, i.e. polyvinyl alcohol resins.SOLUTION: A production method of a polyvinyl alcohol resin-made pellet includes a step of melt-extruding a polyvinyl alcohol resin by a melt extruder 1 to form a strand 5 and a step of cooling the strand 5 and cutting the strand 5 into pellets. The step of cooling the strand 5 comprises bringing the lower surface of the strand 5 into contact with the surface of a metal-made endless belt 6 cooled itself and simultaneously spraying mist on the surface of the strand 5 and then spraying a dry gas on the strand 5. |
