PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both of securing cooling uniformity of a casting piece width direction, and suppressing of bulging of the casting piece.SOLUTION: A secondary cooling device 7 of a continuous casting machine comprises: plural pairs of support rolls 200, 300 arranged in a casting direction with predetermined roll pitch P on a secondary cooling zone 9 under a casting mold 1 of the continuous casting machine and supporting a casting piece 3 from both sides of a casting piece thickness direction; and cooling devices 20 disposed between adjacent support rolls 200, 300 in the casting direction, and supplying cooling water to the casting piece 3. The support rolls comprise: large diameter rolls 200 having roll diameter equal to or more than the roll pitch P, and in which, a roll part 202 contacting the casting piece 3 is not divided in the casting piece width direction; and small diameter rolls 300 having roll diameter smaller than the roll pitch P, and in which a roll part 302 contacting the casting piece 3 is divided in the casting piece width direction. The large diameter rolls 200 and small diameter roll 300 are alternately disposed with the roll pitch P in the casting direction. |
