1. A method of producing hydrogen from ammonia the method comprising:
(i) providing ammonia as a fuel source; (ii) introducing ammonia into a reactor and reacting at least some of the ammonia with a metal and/or a metal-containing-compound to form at least one intermediate and optionally hydrogen; (iii) decomposing at least some of the intermediate produced in step (ii) to form hydrogen and to regenerate the metal and/or the metal-containing-compound; (iv) removing at least some of the hydrogen formed in step (iii); and (v) reacting the regenerated metal and/or the regenerated metal-containing-compound with further ammonia. |
