The present disclosure provides a positive active material and a lithium-ion secondary battery. The positive active material comprises LiCoO2 (LCO) and LiFexMn1-xPO4 (LFMP), 0<x≦0.4; a mass ratio of LiFexMn1-xPO4 to LiCoO2 is m, and 0<m≦0.45; LiFexMn1-xPO4 is a polycrystalline particle with an olivine structure; LiCoO2 is a polycrystalline particle with a laminated structure; an average particle diameter D50 of the polycrystalline particle of LiFexMn1-xPO4 is smaller than an average particle diameter D50 of the polycrystalline particle of LiCoO2, and the polycrystalline particle of LiFexMn1-xPO4 is filled in the polycrystalline particle of LiCoO2. The lithium-ion secondary battery comprises the aforementioned positive active material. The lithium-ion secondary battery of the present disclosure has a high voltage platform and a high energy density, and also has an excellent rate performance, an excellent cycle performance and an excellent safety performance. |
