PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, at low cost, a compact image capturing lens which sufficiently meets demands on shorter height, offers a brightness of F2.4 or less and a wide view angle, and yet is well corrected for various aberrations.SOLUTION: An image capturing lens comprises, in order from the object side to the image side; a first lens, as a first optical element, having a convex surface on the object side and positive refractive power; a second lens, as a second optical element, having a concave surface on the image side and negative refractive power; a third lens, as a third optical element, having positive refractive power; a bi-aspherical fourth lens, as a fourth optical element, having a convex surface on the image side and negative refractive power; and a bi-aspherical fifth lens, as a fifth optical element, having a concave surface on the image side. The image capturing lens also includes a bi-aspherical aberration correction optical element, as a sixth optical element, having practically no refractive power located between the first lens and an image capturing plane. |
