PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack and pinion type steering device which adjusts increase of a rack guide movable amount and thereby inhibits the occurrence of rattling sound.SOLUTION: A rack and pinion type steering device includes: a rack shaft 12; a pinion shaft 11; a rack guide 20 which presses a meshing part between rack teeth 12a of the rack shaft and pinion teeth of the pinion shaft from a rack back surface; and an adjustment screw 22. The rack guide 20 is movable and a movable amount of the rack guide 20 is adjusted by a piezoelectric element 24 fixed to the adjustment screw 22. |
