<p>The invention concerns a filter unit (10) for an internal combustion engine (1), wherein the filter unit (10) comprises a filter housing (11) having a cylindrical shape with a closed lower end (12) and means for transfer of a fluid (14, 15) between the filter unit (10) and the engine (1) at an upper end (13) of the filter housing (11), wherein the filter unit (10) comprises mounting means (16) for fastening the filter unit (10) to an engine structure (2) comprising a mounting rod (3), wherein the filter mounting means (16) is configured to engage with corresponding mounting means (5) arranged on the mounting rod (3). The invention is characterized in that the filter unit (10) comprises guiding means (20) configured to axially align the filter unit (10) with the mounting rod (3) before the filter unit (10) is fastened in its intended operative position in relation to the engine structure (2) via the mounting means (16). The invention also concerns an internal combustion engine (1) comprising a filter unit (10) of the above type.</p> |
