PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device with reduced ESR and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The power storage device includes a power storage element and an electrolytic solution. The power storage element is constituted of a positive electrode member, a negative electrode member facing the positive electrode member, and a separator disposed between the positive electrode member and the negative electrode member. The separator includes: a separator base material and an electroconductive polymer coated by the separator base material. The electrolytic solution is impregnated in the power storage element. The separator base material has a first plane side which includes a first plane facing the positive electrode member and a second plane side which includes a second plane facing the negative electrode member. The density of the separator base material at the first plane side is smaller than the density at the second plane side.
