A feeder in which a carrier tape can be reliably inserted to a prescribed position. Said feeder is provided with the following: an entrance pressure-applying member (32) that applies pressure, towards a tape path (38), to a carrier tape (900) inserted via a tape insertion section (21d); a rotatable lever (51) that raises the entrance pressure-applying member (32) when the carrier tape (900) is inserted via the tape insertion section (21d); and a stopper member (31) that, when the entrance pressure-applying member (32) is raised by rotation of the lever (51), moves to a position whereby the insertion position of the carrier tape (900) inserted from the tape insertion section (21d) is constrained to the abovementioned prescribed position. |
