The present invention relates to a device and a method for matching left and right images of a stereo camera. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method includes the steps of: detecting vanishing lines of the left and right images respectively and detecting a vanishing point based on the detected vanishing lines; executing an operation to match the vanishing point extracted from the left image and the vanishing point extracted from the right image; selecting a vanishing line of interest in the left image arranged on the left and right sides of the vanishing point extracted in the left image and a vanishing line of interest in the right image arranged on the left and right sides of the vanishing point extracted in the right image; and estimating the rotation angle of the left or right image based on the selected vanishing lines of interest in the left and right images.
