<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool capable of being easily changed to operation characteristics corresponding to preferences of a user or improved operation characteristics after delivered to the user. <P>SOLUTION: The power tool includes an electric motor 11 as a power source, a control section 10 for controlling motions of the electric motor 11 through a switching element 13, an external communication section 15 for communicating with a personal computer 3, and a nonvolatile memory 14 for storing parameters for electric motor control.
