<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means and an instrument to reinforce a tooth from which the pulp is removed more safely and effectively than heat treatment of the dentin. <P>SOLUTION: The dental instrument comprises a handpiece portion and a control device. The handpiece portion comprises a pulp cavity insertion plug to irradiate the dentin of the tooth with ultraviolet rays and a source of ultraviolet rays, and the pulp cavity insertion plug has an ultraviolet ray irradiation section. The dental instrument can mechanically strengthen the tooth by irradiating the dentin with ultraviolet rays in the pulp cavity of the tooth form which the pulp is removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
