<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a transfer failure of ink caused by difference between a transfer condition in an unprinted region of paper and that in a printed region thereof, in a thermal transfer type color printer. <P>SOLUTION: This printer includes: a plurality of thermal heads arranged along a transport direction of paper, each including a plurality of heating elements, and performing printing on the paper by heating ink of a plurality of ribbons having different colors to be transferred to the paper; and a control part for dividing a region printed by at least one thermal head into a first sub-region without being printed by another thermal head on the upstream side in the transport direction and a second sub-region printed by another thermal head on the upstream side in the transport direction based on input color printing data, and applying different values of energy to the heating elements of the at least one thermal head in the first sub-region and the second sub-region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
