Hand lamps.-An electric inspection lamp of the kind comprising a handle. 1 carrying a cage containing a bulb 3 is provided with a hook or arm 15 for suspending it in an inverted position, the arm 15 being pivoted at one end 16 to the handle and provided at the other end with clip jaws 19 so that it can be folded closely alongside the handle when not in use. In the position for use, the arm is held at an acute angle to the handle by a recess 18 engaging the handle. The lamp may be attached to a flatsurface bv means of a rubber sucker 12 having a socket 13 fitting over the end of the handle. The socket 13 may be formed with ribs engaging grooves in the handle. A hook 20 for suspending the lamp in an upright position is adapted to be folded across the end of the cage when not in use. The cage comprises end parts, connected by rods 9 and protected at their edges by U. sectioned rubber rings 11. The lamp may lee carried in a cylindrical case (Fig. 6, not shown) having an opening in the base to facilitate removal. The case is provided with a lid or the lamp is held in the case by a spring catch such as a tongue cut out of the side. |
