1. A system comprising:
a lockout counter; and an attack detection circuit coupled to a slave device configured to communicate with a master device, the attack detection circuit configured to detect an attack to the slave device and provide an indication of a detected attack, wherein the attack detection module is configured to:
send a device ID to the master device in response to a received device ID request;increment the lockout counter in response to the received device ID request;if the incremented value of the lockout counter is greater than a maximum limit, provide the indication of the detected attack to the slave device; andif the incremented value of the lockout counter is less than or equal to the maximum limit:
receive a checksum from the master device;generate an internal checksum;compare the received checksum to the generated internal checksum; andif the received checksum is the same as the internal checksum, clear the lockout counter. |
