The present invention relates to an apparatus to compress scrap steel, comprising; a scrap steel supply part; a scrap steel compressing part; and a scrap steel discharge part. The scrap steel compressing part compresses the scrap steel supplied from the scrap steel supply part. The scrap steel discharge part discharges the scrap steel compressed by the scrap steel compressing part. The scrap steel compressing part comprises: a first piston part; and a second piston part. The first piston part comprises: a first cylinder part; and a first piston rod part moving in an interior of the first cylinder part in a predetermined direction. The second piston part comprises: a second cylinder part; and a second piston rod part moving in the interiors of the second cylinder part and the first cylinder part in a predetermined direction. A force generated from the second piston rod of the second cylinder is transferred to the first piston rod part of the first cylinder part transferred such that enough force can be transferred when the scrap steel is compressed even when a capacity of the hydraulic pump is small. |
