METHOD FOR PREPARING 2,5-DIFORMYL FURAN USING CARBON-SUPPORTED METAL CATALYST

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing 2,5-diformylfuran, which comprises a step of manufacturing 2,5-diformylfuran from 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural by using a catalyst including an activated carbon-supported metal under a solvent of a ketone compound or a solvent of an aromatic compound. The method for manufacturing 2,5-diformylfuran according to the present invention is easy to be connected with a process of manufacturing 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural and can skip an additional distillation process by using an extraction solvent of 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfuralyl. In addition, the method of the present invention enables reuse of a heterogeneous metal catalyst and a solvent, and reduces processing costs by using the heterogeneous metal catalyst using cheap metals, such as vanadium or the like, rather than precious metals.
