The present invention relates to a process for preparing 1-O-acyl-2-deoxy-2-ftuoro-4-thio-²-D-arabinofuranoses having formula I and intermediates thereof:
wherein R 1 represents -C(O)-C 1 -C 6 -alkyl or -C(O)-aryl; and R 2 represents C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, C 1 -C 4 -perfluoroalkyl or aryl.
