The invention relates to a rotary head for electrical discharge processing assisted by ultrasounds which may be mounted on the working head of an electrical discharge machine. According to the invention, the rotary head comprises an ultrasonic chain (2), which has, at one end, a tool-electrode (1) which, besides an oscillation movement (1a) of ultrasound frequency, also has a rotation movement (1b), electrically supplied from the ultrasound generator and the electrical discharge generator by means of two brushes (3 and 4), a brush (3) whose graphite elements (10) are in contact with a concentrator (9) in a nodal point thereof, the position of the brush (3) being vertically adjusted depending on the position of the nodal point of the concentrator (9) by means of four rods (14) threaded at the ends, and secured with some nuts (15 and 16) and a brush (4), whose graphite elements (10) are in contact with a bush (23) assembled on a nodal flange (21) interposed between some piezo-ceramic disks (20), some bearings (24) assembled on a bush (23) and a case (5), a gear wheel (6a) integral with and placed on the same axle with the bush (23) and a gear wheel (6b) assembled on the output axle of a gearmotor (7). |
