摘要 The present invention relates to a high-speed chemical crosslinking system and method for an electrical cable, the system and method being for improving the thermal and electrical properties of a coating part forming the outer layer of the electrical cable which is extrusion-molded from an extruder. More specifically, the high-speed chemical crosslinking system comprises: a first vulcanization chamber; a cooling unit; a second vulcanization chamber; and a cross-linking unit. The first vulcanization chamber has a receiving hole on one side thereof so as to receive the electrical cable which is extrusion-molded from the extruder and the inside of the first vulcanization chamber is maintained at a pressure that is higher than the air pressure. The cooling unit is a pipe having one side thereof coupled to communicate with the first vulcanization chamber and cooling water is received on the inside of the pipe so that the electrical cable is cooled by being allowed to pass through the inside of the pipe. The second vulcanization chamber is a chamber coupled to communicate with the other side of the cooling unit and, like the first vulcanization chamber, the inside of the second vulcanization chamber is maintained at a pressure that is higher than the air pressure. The cross-linking unit is a pipe having one side thereof coupled to communicate with the second vulcanization chamber and the other side thereof coupled to communicate with the first vulcanization chamber, and the inside of the pipe is maintained at a heating state so that the electrical cable is subjected to chemical cross-linking by being allowed to pass through the inside of the pipe. According to the present invention as above, the cooling unit and the cross-linking unit are placed between the vulcanization chambers arranged at both sides so that the electrical cable is moved to both sides of the vulcanization chambers in a reciprocating manner, resulting in minimizing a production facility line and thus reducing installation costs. In addition, the high-temperature electrical cable which is extrusion-molded from the extruder is primarily cooled prior to being subjected to chemical cross-linking and thus can be cross-linked at high speed without transformation of the cable, resulting in enhanced production efficiency. Furthermore, production facilities are downsized, and the electrical cable is primarily cooled prior to a chemical cross-linking reaction whereby the electrical cable is applicable in various types of electric wires including small capacity power wires such as automotive electric wires, indoor electric wires, equipment lines, etc., and thus has a wide applicability range.
