PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that is configured compact and has prevented the occurrence of damage to and abnormal images on documents.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: loading means on which documents or sheets to which toner images are transferred are loaded; reading means that is arranged on the downstream in the conveyance direction of the loading means; and a conveyance path 20 through which the documents or the sheets are conveyed, the conveyance path 20 being formed to pass through the reading means, transfer means 41, and fixing means 50. At least any one of a transfer rotating body and one of a fixing rotating body pair is formed of a movable rotating body. When the documents are conveyed through the common conveyance path 20, the movable rotating bodies are controlled to be separated from nips 46 and 56 formed by the movable rotating bodies. |
