Disclosed is a method for providing information for orienting a reception antenna in an optimum direction according to an interference wave and a delay wave to an operator. In an information transmission system in which an outside broadcast van transmits information by radio while moving and the transmitted information is received by a base station, the base station acquires positional information indicating the position of the outside broadcast van, reception state information that is at least one among a reception level, a bit error rate, and delay profile information that are related to a received video signal, and interference wave information that is an interference wave level and/or interference wave frequency, and generates reception assistance information. The reception assistance information indicates a reception signal quality in a two-dimensional region of an outside broadcast van position and an antenna direction. In actual telecast, the reception assistance information is displayed to correspond to the current outside broadcast van position and antenna direction. The operator can understand, from the display, which way and how much the antenna should be swung.
