PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chlorotoxin polypeptides and conjugates and uses thereof.SOLUTION: There are provided: reduced lysine chlorotoxin polypeptides that may be used to generate single species conjugates of chlorotoxin; conjugates comprising such chlorotoxin polypeptides and pharmaceutical compositions thereof; and methods of using such compositions and/or conjugates. In various aspects, provided are chlorotoxin conjugates comprising chlorotoxin polypeptides having one or less lysine available as a site for conjugation ("monolysine chlorotoxin conjugates"), pharmaceutical compositions comprising such conjugates, and methods of using such conjugates. In some embodiments, provided are reduced lysine chlorotoxin polypeptides having no lysine residues. |
