PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an insulating layer having more excellent insulation characteristics and film strengh than conventional ones and causing less variation in an electrocorrosion preventive insulating rolling bearing having a ceramic insulating layer formed thereon.SOLUTION: An electrocorrosion preventive insulating rolling bearing has an insulating film formed thereon. The insulating film is composed mainly of alumina containing not less than 5 mass% nor more than 40 mass% of zirconia. The alumina contains α-alumina and γ-alumina. The zirconia contains at least one of monocline zirconia and cubic zirconia.
