PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle interior light device capable of alleviating potential stress caused to an occupant of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle interior light device includes an interior light (sub interior light) 2 for indirectly illuminating the vehicle interior by illuminating the vehicle interior, e.g., a ceiling panel UP, in a state in which illumination is not irradiated to a driver, and lighting control means (ECU:5) for controlling the lighting of the interior light 2. The lighting control means (ECU:5) detects stress applied to an occupant of the vehicle. For example, seat-load time, frequency and the number of times of swinging of the vehicle, temperature, humidity, etc. that are stress-causing factors are detected, and, light control is performed for changing illumination intensity, a light color, an illumination form, etc. of the illumination light of the interior light 2 based on the detected stress. |
