PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling object protective apparatus which can easily cope with inch or meter sized building frame and enable the weight to be reduced.SOLUTION: A falling object protective apparatus 1 has: a plurality of falling object protective units 2; upper mounting metal fittings 31; lower mounting metal fittings 32; clearance filling materials 5; and binding metal fittings 6. The falling object protective units 2 includes: panel frames 20 having a pair of main frame materials 21, end frames 22 and base end frame materials 23; a plurality of plates 24 forming a panel surface; and a pair of diagonal members 27. The upper mounting metal fittings 31 and the lower mounting metal fittings 32 are configured to mount one of the main frame materials 21 of the adjacent falling object protective units 2, a base end of the diagonal members 27 and other of the main frame materials 21, and the base end part of the diagonal member 27 in a freely rotatable manner and in free slide movement to a horizontal direction, and are mounted to a column of the building frame of a temporary scaffold. The clearance filling materials 5 cover a clearance gap 4 between the main frame materials 21 of the adjacent falling object protective units 2. The binding metal fittings 6 binds the main frame materials 21 of the adjacent falling object protective units 2 so as to restrict the main frame materials 21 and the diagonal members 27 to slide in a horizontal direction.
