The machine has stator elements (1, 2), and a rotor (3) connected to a rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is rotatably mounted in bearings such that the rotor is rotated about a rotational axis (6). One of the elements supports a stator winding system, and another element supports permanent magnets (8) i.e. ferrites. The magnets generate magnetic fields (B) oriented towards the rotor. The rotor has soft-magnetic segments (11) that are uniformly distributed around the axis, where the segments are arranged between nonmagnetic and poorly electrically conductive or non-conductive regions (12). |
