PURPOSE:To cause a printing pitch of a Chinese charater to match that of an alphanumeric letter, by a method wherein a letter is divided into a half-square letter for 14 dots and a half-square letter for 13 dots, and in the case of the alphanumeric letter, a printing is made by means of the half-square letter for 14 dots, and a blank is printed in the half-square letter for 13 dots. CONSTITUTION:A letter for 27 dots (3 dots out of 27 dots are used as a blank) is divided into two half-square letters for 14 dots (2 dots out of 14 dots are used as a blank) and 13 dots (1 dot out of 13 dots is used as a blank). In the case of a Chinese character, one letter is printed using the half-square letter for 14 dots and the half-square letter for 13 dots, and in the case of an alphanumeric letter printing, a printing is conducted using the half-square letter for 14 dots, and a blank is printed in the half-square letter for 13 dots. In the case of the alphanumeric letter printing, a blank may be printed in the half-square letter for 14 dots, and an alphanumeric letter may be printed in the half-square letter for 13 dots. |
