[Class 87 (ii).] In dies for extruding a series of layers of insulating material, e.g. guttapercha in superposed formation upon a core, the orifices of the several dies are arranged to be in the same transverse plane. The die parts may be cast integrally or secured together to form apertures 4, 5, 6 and may be shaped to stream-line longitudinal section. The core guide 11 may be axially adjustable. The die apertures may be in communication with different plastic materials so that layers of differing composition may be applied to the core.
