<p>The device has a holder (3.3) for holding a medication dispensing container (4). Electronically actuatable compartment indicating units are provided for visual pointing out of compartments of the container. A control module (2.51) controls the indicating units based on specified prescription data. The indicating units comprise a display screen (3.1) i.e. projected capacitive touch screen, which is attached adjacent to the holder. The indicating units comprise illumination units (3.4), which comprise LEDs to illuminate the compartments. A glass plate covers a work plate (3).
