PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving accuracy of detecting edges of an original document.SOLUTION: A scanner 100 includes a reading head 21 for reading an image and acquires image data 51 by reading an original document. The scanner 100 further acquires edge data, which is information on edges of the original documents, from the acquired image data 51. The scanner 100 further determines whether an end part in a principle scanning direction of the original document exceeds a reading range in a longer direction of the reading head 21 on the basis of the acquired edge data. |
